Four weaved and assembled units are shaping a mattress
which reminds the traditional Tatami. Flax is used as
a local material, with its raw long fibers. Two opposite
materials complete each other to create a compact seat
support. Plastic pipes give it a structure while flax fi-
bers create a sensation of well-being. « Paillots » has
rich acoustic and insulating properties. Each material
remains intact thanks to the simplicity of the assembly
technique. By allowing the storage of raw materials as
a reinterpretation of farming packaging techniques, the
act of weaving acquires an added value.
