“Entracte” is a curtain designed as part of the redevelopment of a decommissioned hangar into a workshop laboratory located in Anderlecht, Brussels. Since the building is to be destroyed, our aim is to set up a temporary, economical, and easy to build layout. Scraps of PVC tarpaulins recovered near the site are assembled by thermo-welding to create a waterproof and opa- que surface allowing to isolate and define a space. The curtain becomes a singular and expressive element, participating in the dynamic and versatile construction of the place. Research was carried out directly on the site around a participatory worksite open to the most curious and the neighbours.
